About Us
Treasures Thrift Store was founded in November 1996 to support quality health care at Mason General Hospital in Shelton and North Mason Medical Clinic in Belfair. The store was an instant success and after only 15 months in a very small store moved to our current location in beautiful downtown Shelton, WA!
Because Treasures received such a large number of books, Treasures Too! was opened about five years later.
Treasures and Treasures Bookstore are currently managed by Foundation Board Members Jim Dok and Kathy Howe. The staff includes: Terina McCord; assistant/receiving manager and Tersa McCord. Currently, we have several volunteers and would like to recruit new members to our volunteer team. (See the volunteer section for more information.)
Over the past six years, Treasures and Treasures Bookstore have contributed over $600,000.00 to Mason General Hospital's Surgical Fund for the purchase of medical equipment such as; infant care equipment, four CPR defibrillators and most recently a new state of the art digital mammography machine.
Our community, through quality donations, volunteering and shopping, has made Treasures and Treasures Bookstore very successful for 14 years. We are making improvements daily to ensure that the quality and service of the stores continues.
